A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Beware the point-of-no-return policy...
A game created in 9 days for Velox Turbo 3.

"I always knew that the world was going to end. What I wasn't prepared for was all the waiting beforehand."
Elowen is a shopkeeper at humanity's final bastian before the demon forces. Whilst others cower and flee, she simply wipes the counter, restocks the shelves, and turns the store sign to "Welcome In!" It's in the predicted final days of the world when an adventurer, the hero of legend, comes across her shop, begging time and time again for her to escape. Unluckily for him though, Elowen is the model essential worker, and knows that as long as there's a hero looking to save the world, they'll need an item supplier covering their back, and for that, she's their girl.

Current Jam Build
- Over 5k words
- Animated sprites
- Dynamic backgrounds
- 2.5 Minigames
Warnings
- Mentions of death, injury, and the world ending
- Notable jam-build issues include: Unfinished shield minigame, minor typos, missing dashes, misspelled names (Her name is Elowen, like the nameplate), missing endings determined by your minigame performance, missing about credits, and other minor bits of content and polish. These issues will be fixed come end of jam (2 weeks from release).

Absolutely loved this game!!! The art is adorable, the music non-repetitive and the characters just so! charming!!! There's so much character in this whole work. The pun in the game's title, the little "one does not simply" and Elowen's name got a solid chuckle out of me too, what a delightful little capitalist indeed
YESSSS WE LOVE OUR STUPID LITTLE QUIRKS HERE!!! Thank you for your keen appreciation of the details, for that Elowen shall repay you with some trickle down coin schemes >v<
The art is super cute. I enjoy their banter so much. I really need to know the ending...
Thank you!! Heehee with any hope, the epic conclusion will be coming soon enough :3
Oh my GOD the presentation is immaculate. The sprites, their animations, their staging -- there is so much life to both characters, it's so charming!! And the raw character of the main menu and the pause menu and the cursor and the --- Elowen my beloved, this was such a joy to play
AHHH thank you!!! While I definitely should have been working on some integral parts of the game *cough*the novel part*cough* I'm so glad you took the time to notice what I did work on, because GUI is my love-hate BAE! I can say I'm certifiably very proud of figuring out how to make a SAVE AND LOAD page, and will definitely be taking this wisdom into future projects. The presentation of this game is really amazing! It's really impressive how much you were able to do with Ren'py... your art is also just super cute, and the dialogue was fun! ^^
Ren'py is truly the gift that keeps on giving, even as Godot and RPGMaker MZ grab me by the scalp and shape me without remorse. And thank you! I love taking a break between all the angsty things I make to simply indulge in lighthearted,
apocalypticfun!I love the vibes of your games they're always so fun!! The art is so charming, and I love how the two characters are written and how their interactions develop and it all ties back to the theme you're truly a renaissance man able to do it all. Your coding skills always impress me so hard teach me your ways senpai
High praise from the cozy feels writer expert in chief... I am but a humble Igor who yearns for a mad scientist writer to carry the burden of creation while I joyously tinker away and learn code, but in the meantime I will be so strong and write myself I suppose... >:3
OHHHH MY GOD i can't get over how charming every aspect of this is... from the bouncing sprites to the cursor?? hard to believe this is a solo work :'D
it's almost bittersweet to see the interactions between these two, slimes! i loved seeing their friendship blossom. will be returning for the update >:)
AHHH THANK YOU!!! I may always be icarus and deliver a dubious stew of an experience that I come to regret, but God can pry silly little visual customizations from my cold, dead hands!!
Thank you loyal customer, I'm hopeful that I can deliver a (depending on your choices un)satisfying ending soon >U<
Ahhhhhh this was so good...!!! Lovely art, sound, ui, animations and story!! The mini games were great, simple and sweet and relevant. Really would love to see how the story ends...
edit: Also...I just got the title pun.... perfection...
Thank you!!! That damn shield minigame... And as for the story's end, you and me both hahah >O<
I love me a good pun :3
