Y2K!LL is finally out!

Y2K!LL is now (essentially) fully complete!

Get crackin' on our improved and completely refurbished game! But before you start playing, here are some quick postmortems from the dev team...

Katherine

  • Thank you everyone for putting up with our last-minute, last-ditch effort to submit on time — and thank you to anyone who will play our updated and better version! I definitely learned a lot, both good and bad, from my first real game jam experience with the real goats of the team, Lea and Katie, and I’m excited to continue writing more in the future. Next time…I’ve got my eyes set on writing a yandere visual novel. And let’s just say…the love interest will be quite yanderu, mentally sick, and deredere, lovestruck (Dere Wiki et al., n.d.). Or, as Barbara would say, let’s meet at our final destination (Y2K!LL et al., 2024)…

Katie

  • Thank you so much to everyone who stuck with us during this game jam! This has been my very first game jam experience and I definitely feel like I learned a lot from it. I gotta thank Lea and Katherine for really stepping up and helping me out when I was getting consistently lost in the sauce, so to speak. I can 100% say though that I loved this experience and loved having the opportunity to work with two amazing people on a project like this. They're both incredible writers and incredible teammates and deserve so much more recognition than I can give here. This project has definitely spawned a few ideas for games that I'd like try to make, so I hope if you enjoy horror or interactive fiction that I'll see you in my future endeavors. Love and light and lots of Halloween frights this October!

Lea

  • Hello hello... so that took longer than it should've, sorry 'bout that! I had most things fixed the next day but I couldn't bear to upload something that didn't have the full fixings... Thank you to everyone who has played the game in its once-dilapidated state and to those who were patient enough to wait for the intended experience! Learning a bunch of UI and programming things for ren'py and figma was kinda crazy but it was still kinda fun being able to cram every aspect of game dev in heheh. Big shoutouts to Katherine and Katie, the writing GOATs because after this month I can not stomach looking at that google doc ever again, and I was just the programmer LMAO <333
  • Ryker face reveal coming when...?
